| ABSTRACT | The Waring decomposition is the way of representing a polynomial as the sum of power of linear forms. It is related to the tensor rank, secant variety and optimization problem. In this talk, we will introduce the known results about Waring rank and related open problems We will mainly consider the difference between complex and real Waring rank. Also we will introduce the recent result about the real Waring rank of monomials. |
