|TITLE||[GS_CS_QI] Hybrid processing in qubit-oscillator systems for non-Gaussian states|
|ABSTRACT||Qubit-oscillator hybrid systems support naturally non-Gaussian interactions that can be useful both for discrete-variable and continuous-variable quantum information processing. Rabi interaction, that was considered in the original Rabi model, has a counter-rotating term beyond rotating wave approximation, and thus can have various applications with performances beyond those achievable by Jaynes-Cummings interaction.
In this talk, I will introduce various aspects of processing of non-Gaussian states: a deterministic hybrid protection scheme of continuous variable states constructed in coherent basis, and a protocol for transferring arbitrary continuous-variable quantum states into a few discrete-variable qubits and back. I will also briefly explain about our recent proposal about a measurement-free deterministic preparation protocol of arbitrary logical grid states with a rectangular or hexagonal lattice. These protocols are deterministic and require only two-mode Rabi-type interactions which are readily available in experiments in trapped-ion and superconducting circuit platforms.
