|ABSTRACT||We consider random dynamical systems (RDS) and its special case: random subshifts of finite type (RSFT) introduced by V.M.
Gundlach and Yu. Kifer. To make the talk accessible, we explain how RSFTs occur in usual subshifts, and how RDS occurs in non-random dynamical systems. We explain how non-mixing RSFTs can occur even in mixing SFTs. We suggest a way to decompose a non-mixing RSFT into mixing RSFTs.
