||Splitting holomorphic tangent sequence in locally Hermitian symmetric spaces
||A complex submanifold is said to have splitting holomorphic tangent sequence if the pullback of the ambient holomorphic tangent bundle splits holomorphically as a direct sum of its own tangent bundle and normal bundle. This is a complex analytic condition on the submanifold. We are going to look at its possible geometric implications when the ambient space is a locally Hermitian symmetric space. It turns out that one can obtain total geodesy under certain dimension restrictions. This is a joint work with N. Mok.
