|TITLE||Automorphic forms and string theory I|
|ABSTRACT||Motivated by the symmetries of scattering amplitudes in string theory, we will discuss automorphic forms and, in particular, Eisenstein series attached to small automorphic representations of the groups SLn, E6, E7 and E8. The Fourier coefficients of these automorphic forms carry information about non-perturbative effects in string theory coming from instantons and black holes, and we will, using adelic techniques, show how to compute such Fourier coefficients with respect to the unipotent radicals of the Borel subgroup and maximal parabolic subgroups.
This lecture series is based on the book 'Eisenstein series and automorphic representations' which is joint work with Axel Kleinschmidt, Daniel Persson and Philipp Fleig (early draft available on arXiv:1511.04265).
