Centers & Programs

The Large-scale scientific computation (LSC) is a core tool in verifying theories and in providing a virtual laboratory in modern science.  In KIAS there are several fundamental research areas which require heavy scientific computations; quantum information, protein folding, mathematical information, astrophysics, statistical & condensed physics, and high energy particle physics  (accelerator and QCD). The KIAS Center for Advanced Computation will provide both the possibility of the large-scale coworks and the practical hardware for the research network between domestic fundamental scientists.
