ABSTRACT |
In this presentation, I introduce design technology for filters that can be used for 5G communication. In particular, I discuss the frequency-selective meta-surface design with a periodic repetition pattern supported by a flexible single layer that maintains a very thin film format. A global optimization method called conformational space annealing was used to design a frequency selective meta-surface, consisting of a set of pixelated two-dimensional metals. It was verified that the designed frequency-selective meta-surface structure showed a level of performance that could be actually used through experimental measurements. At the same time, it was confirmed that the devices can be produced at low prices and used semi-permanently. I emphasize the generality of design technology and look forward to seeing more applied researches in the future. |
